BNI London Inter-Chapter September Social
Thursday 24th September 2015
Join us on the evening of Thursday 24th of September for a BNI London Inter-Chapter Social Event. Welcoming both BNI Members and Visitors, please join us for a jaunt down the River Thames, Tour of Royal Greenwich with Emma Parker of Coutours followed by a refreshing Drink at Davy's Cooperage Bar, Greenwich High Road.
Greenwich Tour with Coutours
Greenwich or the Royal Borough of Greenwich started off with humble intentions. Who’d have thought it would have got so lah-di-dah!
Originally, it was a port and an area of farmland and you still get that maritime feel with the Cutty Sark, The Royal Naval College (now The University of Greenwich), yachts, tall ships and the Maritime museum.
Greenwich is a lively village and the birthplaces of Henry VIII, Mary Tudor and Elizabeth I and the centre of London’s maritime history. We will see the first Classical building in England - so popular with one Queen that she called it her House of Delights - oo err missus! We will also see some delightful buildings, churches, nooks, crannies and pubs that you can imagine filled with smugglers and other delightful people.
If you like ships, this is the tour for you, if you like stunning views and a good tipple, this is also perfect for you.
